"In my new series, ”Exodus,” photographs of root formations are combined  with colored pencil drawing.  Delving deep within the image, I encourage figures to reveal themselves. Forms emerge from the earth, deeply rooted past struggles, growth and change.  My images seek out the moments of quiet humanity, recording the spontaneous unfolding of life in nature.   This series reflects the challenges we face globally.  The extremes of thermal changes and the wrath of nature as nature responds to the devastation man has imposed upon it. Protecting humanity parallels the urgency to protect the environment.   As we connect with the earth we share the struggles to thrive. We must stand together to find place, belonging and comfort in our ever changing precious environment. "
