"“Fantastic” artworks are a take on the domestic craft of quilting. Hand-stitched and salvaged plastic bags point to the origin of the patchwork tradition of making new from the old: no waste and creativity are classified today as a sustainable activity. The works speak to the durability and malleability of plastic, which will, often for the worse, survive us all. We have to control our plastic consumption to prevent our earth from chocking on plastic. This body of works comprises videos in which the art pieces are presented and re-contextualized in jarring and awkward scenarios."
