Blackened Flowers and Waters ….Return the Blue Clear Waters, Encaustic, ink and stencil on Japanese paper, Diptych, 26” x 40

"”Return the Blue Clear Waters” is a watercolor dipped in encaustic wax. Sometimes water pollution is insidiously invisible to the eye or extremely visible as in these black brushy marks. The invasive pollution of plastics, sewage, chemicals destroys animals who live and eat in these waters. We are in this chain of destruction. Since our government now presently doesn’t care, we must care overwhelmingly to right this wrong."
Pond Waters — An Aquatic World, Diptych, Monoprint, 26" x 40" (26" x 20” each), 2016

"“Pond Waters — An Aquatic World” The pond is a beautiful self -contained ecosystem world where the interdependence of plant life, water and climate—sun, light, rain, temperature create an interplay of energies between plant, animal and atmosphere revealing an ideal co-existence. If only humans could understand the idea of co-existence between humans and nature. Abstracted Ponds Reflections play in wavy rhythms against their corresponding plants like a mirror and double images…. and mirroring our own self-reflections and ponderings! Reflect on this and save this watery beautiful world!"
